As above, really. I enjoyed my stay and the genuine welcome. Expert car parkers will avoid the trees and the ample deposits by the local avian population!

There are many restaurants but I had little time to patronise them. The beach walk is very agreeable and the town is good for explorers.

Fran and Stuart were very friendly and welcoming and extremely helpful. Breakfast was excellent especially the homemade pancakes. Car parking was mostly easy but we struggled on the day that the rugby was on hence the 4 on location. The only reason for 4 on the facilities was that the shower pressure was very low and the toilet cistern was so slow to fill up. Would definitely go back. Thank you for your great hospitality.

Your room and the shared bathroom are being 'done up' this winter, so hopefully the slow fill toilet will be sorted and hopefully the shower pressure can get sorted as well. Rugby days are always a little more difficult to find parking, especially when its a big team like Bath visiting. We always try to warn guests on those days. My stay stay at the Keigwin House was only for one night but I was was given a warm welcome by genial hosts, Fran and Stuart, whose friendly and easy-going natures made me feel quite at home. My room was all that I could ask for, clean, tidy and comfortable and the breakfast was excellent. I could not have asked for more and will certainly look to stay at the Keigwin on my next visit to Penzance.

Penzance has some really fantastic pubs!

Very nice staying here. It’s outside the busy part of Penzance but easy to walk back to the town center. Excellent breakfast. The owners have great recommendations for local things to see and do.

We ate to go things in the breakfast room which has everything you need. Went over to visit St Michael’s Mount which was very enjoyable.

We received a warm welcome .Our room was very comfortable and we slept extremely well.We we’re travelling up from Penzance by train the next morning and Fran immediately offered to do breakfast for us at 7.30 which was much appreciated.Only drawback could possibly be the stairs up to the front door for less mobile individuals but again we were helped with our bags to our room so assistance is provided.Breakfast was excellent!

We walked to Newlyn and lunched at Tolcarne Inn and dinner at 2 Fore Street Mousehole would highly recommended both venues.

We had a fabulous welcome and Fran and Stuart were very helpful and supportive - with advice about how to negotiate the ferry to the Scillies and the car parking. Our room was very comfortable, everything worked there were even charging sockets in the walls. In view of our up coming journeys we did not have a cooked breakfast but it looked and smelled great.

If you are heading to the Isles of Scilly, Fran and Stuart are experts and will be able to help with the ins and outs of travel.

We were very comfortable. Our room was spacious enough and the beds and pillows very comfortable. Breakfast was cooked individually and there was a good choice.

Plenty of interesting places to visit. Coastal villages, coast path, art galleries, shops. Going inland there are prehistoric villages and standing stones.

An excellent B&B. Host Fran was very welcoming and helpful with suggestions of eating places. Being able to use the dining room to cook our own evening meal on one evening and save a bit of money was welcome. Couldn't fault it as a place to stay in Penzance.

We had a lovely meal at "Gino's Spaghetti House", just a 10 minute walk away. "The End of the World" bookshop on the main street is worth a visit.

The Dolphin Tavern is perfect for food and beer. The walking path along the coast between Penzance and Marazion breathtaking with its view on Saint Michael's Mount. The hop on hop off bus is very convenient to visit around the area.

Lovely friendly welcome! Fran and Stuart are always helpful with a great fund of up to date local knowledge. Our newly refurbished suite was really lovely and there was a wide choice of breakfasts to suit all tastes, full English,Continental and even pancakes! We felt refreshed and rested after our stay.

Keighwin is a perfect base from which to visit the great Cornish Gardens,coastal spots,art venues,the Minack theatre,or swim in the lively Penzance Lido!

I would definitely stay there again. Fran is a very good host. Use of the dining room and microwave in the evening is very useful if you don’t want or can’t eat out. Fran is also very accommodating for vegan diets and I imagine any other dietary requirements. The bed was comfortable and the room was cosy and quiet.

I have been staying at the Keigwin for several years now. Fran and her husband are always very friendly and helpful. Fran goes out of her way to ensure I have everything I need, such as plant milks. The rooms are spotlessly clean, there is a TV. I share a bathroom, but even in the middle of summer, there is never a queue. The breakfast is beautifully cooked and very tasty. I will visit again soon.

There are plenty of cafes and restaurants in Penzance, but be aware that most shut at 8pm in the winter. However, there are some excellent pubs, such as the Admiral Benbow. The shopping centre has lots of interesting individual shops, much more fun than the usual chain stores.

A nice quiet house, close to sea front, town centre, rail/bus station. Hosts very friendly and helpful with advice about things to do, places to visit and where to dine. Great breakfasts and the possibility to prepare own meals in the dining room also comes in handy.

Tai restaurant just a few steps away serves authentic Tai food. The telegraph museum PV Porthcurno well worth a visit. The Cornish Oven sells really good Cornish pasties.

We and family have been 3 times. Fran and Stuart are so friendly and helpful (even offer fresh milk for our bedrooms rather than UHT!) Bedrooms spacious, large beds, lovely fresh linen. Good shower. Breakfast fantastic, even offer lovely pancakes with fruit - all beautifully served. One word - FAB-U-LUS!!

Outdoor swimming pool close-by. Fish and chips a short walk along the promenade which we enjoyed eating overlooking the sea. If on Scillonian for first time, take a sea-sick tablet even if sea very calm (we always do, mostly not necessary). Get to pier early to get luggage put in containers which gives you chance to get good seat on boat (reclining seats with tables best).

Stuart and Fran were extremely accommodating when our journey to the Isles of Scilly was cancelled. At short notice they rearranged rooms to accommodate five of us. Hospitality first class and made the disappointment disappear very quickly. Both were able to give us some fantastic ideas for food with the children and places to go on the Sunday. Very grateful and will most definitely be back.

My second stay at Keigwin, and I had a warm welcome and a lovely spacious room. Fran always manages a relaxed and helpful atmosphere.

Penlee Gallery and cafe and the adjoining park, and Morrab park across from the Gallery are first class. A walk along the sea front from the station to Newlyn harbour are a must, too.

I love the location and the street where Keigwin House is located. You were so helpful with us, coming in on a very rainy day, letting us check in earlier and not "fearing" our wet clothes and muddy shoes. The contact with both of you was a pleasure, also how graciously you met our breakfast special diary requests ;-) We will definitely call in again when we're in the area and recommend you.

The stroll through the park to get to town! Mermaid's Alley (?) is a truly fantastic and outstandingly friendly and tasty address, suitable for all diets! And everyone should arrive and leave in Penzance via the South West Coast path :-DDD

Excellent value. Authentic, engaged service. Moved me to a more appropriate room so my late arrival wouldn't disturb other guests. Was cheaper too. Really thoughtful. Asked if I needed any help. Seemed really popular with walkers on the coastal path LGBTQ friendly. I use B&Bs in the area frequently and am glad to have found this one. Highly recommended.

Loved the homemade Biscotti in the room. Perfect hotel for walkers on the coastal path. Very popular with that crowd.

The Bakery is an excellent restaurant but, at the other end of the scale, it's just a short walk to Lidl where you can buy your own food and take it back to Keigwin to enjoy in the dining room there. (By the way, if you haven't already found it, please enjoy the half bottle of rose wine I left in the fridge - and the pack of baby plum tomatoes.)

Fran and Stuart fortunately had a room available for my son, whose travel to visit us on Scilly was delayed. They are so accommodating, able to accept a late check-in and very early departure. It’s always our first choice place to stay in Penzance for us or family. Thank you both.

Walkable from railway station (just under a mile), even closer to the harbour for Scillonian. An early breakfast is available if needed.

A towel or electric hand dryer in the shared bathrooms would be better than the paper roll

A gym opposite the railway station advertises a left luggage service. If you like trying local specialities try hog’s pudding .. a Cornish sausage meat people eat with breakfast. A day trip to the Scilly isles sounds good value but the crossing can be rough and it is a long time to spend on a boat. It is best to spend at least to nights so you can explore the islands.

As always the staff were very welcoming and facilities first class. The option of self catering an evening meal/snack in the dining room increased the flexibility.

The cafe in Penlee house to be recommended…….ideal seating both inside and out. The hour long ,cliff path walk from Porthcurno to Porthgwarra is rewarded by a super little tea shop in an idyllic setting !

Yet another great stay at Keigwin. Such a wonderful place and location. We have stayed many times and been welcomed and made to feel at home.

There are loads of restaurants, coffee shops and takeaways. Great walks, beaches and art galleries, cinema. Wildlife -saw seals, dolphins and many bird species including chuffs and oyster catchers and the odd seagull. Good bus and train service

Fran and Stewart are the perfect hosts and do all that they can to make your stay comfortable. They are particularly helpful to stranded passengers from Scilly when transport gets cancelled at short notice due to weather conditions. The rooms are very comfortable, well appointed and a good size. Breakfasts are flexible depending on your time constraints and dietary requirements and always come with a smile.

There are good pubs within walking distance, a great Thai restaurant just down the road, and the main town is only 10 mins walk. A good place to stay a few days and explore Penzance and the coastal paths.

Highly recommend, Fran was so lovely, she gave us great tips on the area and was so nice to speak with. All of the staff was great. Beds were really comfortable and the home is spotless. Great location with easy parking.

We are Canadian, the A30 is a great highway but the secondary roads are very challenging and almost dangerous for us to drive. Next time we will train.
